Basic Game Board Instructions: The goal of the Ticket to Ride game, a cross country train adventure game, is to earn the most points by the end of the game. Points can be earned by building trains, achieving routes, and by having the longest continuous train. On a turn, a player may either draw more train cards (with which to build routes later), draw more route cards, build a train, or build a station. To build a train, the player must use as many cards as make up the train he or she wants to build, in the correct color. Long trains are worth more points than short trains. Players must build all the routes they have selected; unfinished routes count against the total points at the end of the game. Stations can be used to connect routes other players have already built, but do not count towards longest train.
