Checkers Board Game

The Checkers board game comes with a bit of equipment. A Checkers Board and 12 checkers of each color, red and black.

Basic Game Goal and Instructions are simple. The goal of checkers is to remove all the opponents checkers from the board.

1st, players must choose which color they will be. This is followed by arranging their twelve pieces on the black squares closes to them. The player with the dark colored checkers (usually red or black) makes the first move by moving a piece forward in a diagonal move.

A piece can only be moved one square at a time except when "jumping" an opponent's piece. Checkers can only be moved forward.

Jumping: a player must jump an opponent's piece to remove it from the board. The space the player lands on must be empty. A player can jump multiple times until no more jumps are possible or the far end of the board is reached.

Kings: When a player reaches the far end of the board, his checker is kinged (done by stacking a removed checker on top of the playing piece). A king may move diagonally in any direction.

The game is won when all of an opponents pieces have been removed from the board.
